"The VOICE for the VILLAGE"
Non-Profit Organization
OUR Purpose:
P.A.G.E.
Parents Advocating for Greater Exceptional Education
P.A.G.E. is a group formed by parents. This is an opportunity for parents to work with the District in creating changes specifically for Exceptional Education students. Our voices need to be heard. We will formulate plans to make sure that our children’s needs are met and hold the ‘powers that be’ accountable for their actions or lack thereof. Exceptional Education students deserve the same chance to be successful as mainstream students. Our children learn differently and should be taught differently. Though there have been strides made towards improvement and it is to be commended, it is simply not enough. How much funding has been dedicated to after school programs for Exceptional Education students? Programs need to be designed to accommodate our children. They deserve resources, services, city and statewide assistance - just as well as “normal” students. It is our job, as well as the District's, to protect, educate and create opportunities that benefit and encourage the growth of Exceptional Education students. Let’s remember that “teamwork does make the dream work.” P.A.G.E. (Parents Advocating for a Greater Exceptional Education), because we ALL need to be on the same page!
